The 2023 Indian mythological action movie Adipurush, often known as “First Man,” is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. Om Raut co-wrote and directed the movie, which was made by T-Series and Retrophiles. The movie stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Devdutta Nage and was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu.
Through the release of an official motion poster in August 2020, the movie was announced. Principal photography began in February 2021 and lasted in November 2021, with the majority of the shooting taking place in Mumbai. Ajay-Atul is the music composer for the movie. Adipurush is among the most costly Indian movies, with a budget of between 500 crore (US$63 million) and 700 crore (US$88 million).
Adipurush was released on June 16, 2023, to unfavorable reviews from critics who berated the script, dialogue, and graphics of the movie. It turned out to be a box office dud.
