The 2024 Hindi-language historical biographical film Ae Watan Mere Watan, which translates to “Oh Country My Country,” tells the story of India’s freedom struggle in 1942 and is based on the life of Usha Mehta, a courageous young woman who launches an underground radio station to spread unity and spark an exciting chase with the British authorities during the Quit India movement. Sara Ali Khan plays Mehta in this film, which is produced by Karan Johar and written and directed by Kannan Iyer. The movie debuted on Amazon Prime Video on March 21, 2024.
