A 2023 American computer-animated romantic comedy-drama movie titled Elemental was produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is sometimes referred to as Forces of Nature.
Written by Sohn, John Hoberg, Kat Likkel, and Brenda Hsueh, it was directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Denise Ream. Pete Docter served as executive producer. Leah Lewis, Mamoudou Athie, Ronnie del Carmen, Shila Ommi, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Catherine O’Hara all lend their voices to the movie, which is the studio’s 27th theatrical release.
The plot centers on fire element Ember Lumen (Lewis) and water element Wade Ripple (Athie), who meet and fall in love when Wade is called by a plumbing mishap at a convenience store owned by Ember’s father, Bernie (Del Carmen). The movie is set in a universe where anthropomorphic elements of nature live.
