Pronounced [kə.l.kɪ], Kalki 2898 AD is an epic science fiction film released in 2024 in Telugu by Nag Ashwin, produced by C. Aswani Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Saswata Chatterjee are among the film’s stars. Inspired by Hindu mythology, it is the first film in the proposed Kalki Cinematic Universe. The movie, which is set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD, centers on a small group of chosen individuals who are sent on a quest to save Kalki, the unborn child of SUM-80, a lab subject.
