It’s a unique plot that is dealt with in a matter-of-fact way by co-writer director Prakash Johari, who gives us everyday characters with relatable life stories of urban India. These characters represent a cross-section of the society – from elite, privileged and independent to the “outsiders” who come to a mega city like Mumbai from smaller towns to earn a livelihood and make a career. Among them is an estranged couple and young and free-spirited live-in partners, who redefine gender stereotypes with ease.
