One Piece is a Netflix original fantasy adventure series created by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda. The show is a live-action adaptation of the ongoing Eiichiro Oda manga series, which debuted in Japan in 1997. It is made by Shueisha (who also publishes the manga), Tomorrow Studios, and Kaji Productions. Iaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar are among the cast members of the show.
The series’ launched on August 31, 2023, to mainly positive reviews from critics who commended the acting, writing, visual effects, and overall fidelity to the source material’s plot points.
