Paul Feig wrote and directed the 2015 American spy action comedy movie titled Spy. Jude Law, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, and Melissa McCarthy are its main actors; Allison Janney, Bobby Cannavale, and Miranda Hart play minor parts. As unconventional secret agent Susan Cooper (McCarthy) searches for a stolen portable nuclear bomb, the movie follows her.
Spy, which was made by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Feig, and Jessie Henderson, had its South by Southwest world debut on March 15, 2015. On June 5, 2015, 20th Century Fox distributed Spy in theaters nationwide. In spite of a $65 million budget, the movie made $235 million worldwide and garnered favorable reviews from critics. McCarthy’s nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and the film’s nomination for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy each received two Golden Globe nominations.
