David Gordon Green co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Sattler for the 2023 American supernatural horror film The Exorcist: Believer, which was based on a narrative by Teems, McBride, and Green. It is a follow-up to The Exorcist (1973) and the sixth entry in the Exorcist series. Leslie Odom Jr., Lidya Jewett, Olivia O’Neill in her feature debut, Jennifer Nettles, Norbert Leo Butz, Ann Dowd, and Ellen Burstyn and Linda Blair in cameos from the original picture are among the actors who appear in the movie.
The story revolves around a photographer who is forced to deal with the depths of evil after his daughter and her best friend get possessed.
