Directed by Santosh Singh, Hindi action crime thriller Apharan is back with its second season titled Apharan 2: Sabka Katega Dobara.
The debut season of the series comprised 12 episodes and was a massive hit. It premiered on December 14, 2018 on video-on-demand platform ALTBalaji, now Apharan Season 2 has been released on Voot Select, and reviews are positive all over.
The spine-chilling story as well as the performance of the entire star cast is also appreciated by the audience and critics. The movie critic Taran Adarsh called it Dhamakedaar in his review.
In 2018, Sidharth Sengupta, Arunoday Singh and Mohinder Pratap Sigh received the Streaming Award (December Edition) in Best Director, Best Actor and Best Writer categories for the first season.

The screenplay of the film is written by Umesh Padalkar and Anahata Menon along with Sidharth Sengupta, who directed the debut season of the series.
It is bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor in association with Jio Studios. Ekta Kapoor expresses happiness over happily collaborating with Jio Studios and Voot Select for the first time.

The story of the series revolves around daring cop Rudra Srivastava, who is back again with the riveting tale of kidnapping, suspense, mystery and never ending action.
This show is set against the backdrop of India as well as Serbia and Rudra will be seen set out on a journey to kidnap an intelligent criminal Bikram Bahadur Shah, who wants to eliminate India from the world map.
