Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet are the creators of the American post-apocalyptic drama television series Fallout, which is available on Amazon Prime Video. It is based on the role-playing video game series that Bethesda Softworks currently owns, which was started by Interplay Entertainment.
In July of 2020, Amazon said that it has acquired the rights to make a live-action project. Bethesda Game Studios and Kilter Films, led by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, will also be involved in the production. The first three episodes were directed by Nolan. Alongside Nolan and Joy, Todd Howard, a producer at Bethesda Game Studios and director of several games in the franchise, joined as an executive producer. Walton Goggins and Ella Purnell were cast in February and March of 2022, after Robertson-Dworet and Wagner were appointed as the showrunners in January 2022.
