George Miller co-wrote, produced, and directed the post-apocalyptic action movie Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). On the screenplay, Miller worked with Nico Lathouris and Brendan McCarthy. Produced by Kennedy Miller Mitchell, RatPac-Dune Entertainment, and Village Roadshow Pictures, it is the fourth installment and a reboot of the Mad Max series.
In the post-apocalyptic desert environment where the movie is set, water and gasoline are rare resources. It centers on Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy), who teams up with Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) to escape in an armored tanker truck with his army from cult leader Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), setting off a protracted road fight. Nicholas Hoult, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough, Zoë Kravitz, Abbey Lee, and Courtney Eaton are also included in the movie.
