OMG Oh My God 2012 movies review

Written and directed by Umesh Shukla, Oh My God! is a 2012 Hindi-language satirical comedy-drama movie that was made by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, S Spice Studios, Grazing Goat Pictures, and Playtime Creations. The Gujarati theatrical play Kanji Virudh Kanji, which itself drew inspiration from the Billy Connolly movie The Man Who Sued God, served as the basis for the plot.

Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Om Puri, Govind Namdeo, Poonam Jhawer, Puja Gupta, and Mahesh Manjrekar all play significant roles in the movie.

The 28 September 2012 release of the film, which had a budget of 60 crore (US$7.5 million), received appreciation for both its subjects and the acting of Rawal and Kumar.

Gopala Gopala (2015), starring Venkatesh, Pawan Kalyan, and Shriya Saran, was a Telugu remake of the original. With Upendra and Sudeep, it was also remade in Kannada as Mukunda Murari (2016).

On August 11, 2023, a standalone sequel called OMG 2 will debut. Akshay Kumar will play Lord Shiva, and Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam will play other leading ladies.
