Action movie Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire, which is set in 2023 in Telugu, is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur. Along with an ensemble supporting cast that includes Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju, the film stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the key roles. The first part of a two-part film, the tale was adapted from Neel’s breakthrough feature Ugramm.
In the movie, Vardha’s father Raja Mannar’s ministers and advisors plot a coup d’état to assassinate them by sending forces to assault Vardha and Khansar. Devaratha, also known as “Deva,” assists his childhood friend Vardharaja, also known as “Vardha,” in becoming the unquestioned heir to Khansar.
