The 2023 American horror film Saw X was written by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger and directed and edited by Kevin Greutert. As a direct sequel to Saw (2004) and a prequel to Saw II (2005), the film is the tenth instalment in the Saw film series. Starring alongside new characters Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, Renata Vaca, and Michael Beach are Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith, reprising their roles from the previous Saw films.
In the movie, Bell plays John Kramer, who goes to Mexico in the hopes of getting an experimental operation to perhaps cure his terminal cancer. After learning that the operation is a hoax, John becomes enraged and decides to take revenge by kidnapping the perpetrators and setting them up for his signature death traps.
