The Kerala Story is a drama film released in 2023 in India in the Hindi language, produced and directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Sudipto Sen. Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani are among its stars.
The story revolves around a group of Keralan women who are forced to become Muslims and join the Islamic State. The movie, which is being marketed as a factual story, is based on the “love jihad” conspiracy theory popularized by the Hindutva movement. It makes the unfounded claim that thousands of Hindu women from Kerala have been recruited by the Islamic State and converted to Islam.
