If I had a dollar for every minute of historical research that went into this movie, I’d somehow owe money. However, seeing Austria-Hungarian troops from WWI shoot at American men with painted pans (not helmets) on their heads, carrying full auto M1 Garands definitely added a new twist to WWII. Also the movie has 3 war crimes which spices it up. The HMFIC cares only about captured German and Austria-Hungarian troops being hit with the butt of a rifle, didn’t seem to care about threats of torture and shooting POWs.
