Dracula Sir is a 2020 Indian Bengali language, non-linear structured, Film Noir psychological thriller film that was written and directed by Debaloy Bhattacharya. Shrikant Mohata and Mahendra Soni under the umbrella of SVF produced the movie. The movie, which features Anirban Bhattacharya, Mimi Chakraborty, Bidipta Chakraborty, Rudranil Ghosh, Samiul Alam, Kanchan Mullick, and Supriyo Dutta, tells the tale of a schoolteacher named “Dracula Sir” who has a projecting canine tooth.The movie was based on a teacher who had previously been a Naxalite.
The movie premiered in theaters on October 21, 2020, which was also Puja Day. Originally slated for release on May 1, 2020, the movie was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dracula Sir garnered favorable to unfavorable reviews after its debut. Critics gave Anirban Bhattacharya’s performances, the music, the costumes, and the makeup high marks, but they noted problems with the narrative.[9] The narrative of a revolutionary during the Naxalbari revolution forms the basis of the non-linearly organized movie. A revolutionary movement centered on the CPIML party persisted in West Bengal into the 1970s.
