The 2023 American biographical sports drama film Gran Turismo, with the working title Based on a True Story in some locales, is directed by Neill Blomkamp and written by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin. It is an action film made by Columbia Pictures, PlayStation Productions, and 2.0 Entertainment that is based on the Polyphony Digital racing simulation video game series of the same name.
It chronicles the real life of Jann Mardenborough, a young Gran Turismo player who went on to become a successful racing driver. Along with David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Darren Barnet, Emelia Hartford, Geri Halliwell Horner, and Djimon Hounsou, Archie Madekwe plays Mardenborough in the movie.
