The fourth film in the Expendables series, Expend4bles (sometimes referred to as The Expendables 4), is an American action movie that was released in 2023. It comes after The Expendables 3 (2014). In addition to returning actors Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture, Curtis “100 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garca also star in the movie. Scott Waugh is in charge of directing it, and Kurt Wimmer, Tad Daggerhart, and Max Adams wrote the script, which was adapted from a narrative by Spenser Cohen, Wimmer, and Daggerhart.
On September 15, 2023, Lionsgate released The Expendables 4 in China. A week later, Lionsgate released it in the United States. The movie received mostly unfavorable reviews from critics, who criticized the plot, the action sequences, Stallone’s limited screen time, Waugh’s direction, the absence of the majority of the original cast, and the visual effects. Its $100 million budget was met with a box office disaster as it only made $47 million worldwide.
