American vigilante action movie The Equalizer 3 is a 2023 release that was helmed by Antoine Fuqua. It is the third and final film in The Equalizer trilogy, which is largely based on the same-named television series. It is a sequel to The Equalizer 2.
In addition to Dakota Fanning, David Denman, Sonia Ammar, and Remo Girone playing supporting roles, the movie stars Denzel Washington in the character of retired U.S. Marine and DIA officer Robert McCall. In the movie, McCall learns that his new acquaintances in a little hamlet in South Italy are being intimidated by Camorra members, and he decides to set them free.
Following the release of the second Equalizer movie on August 2, 2018, discussions concerning a third installment of the franchise started. In January 2022, the project received its official announcement. On October 10, 2022, production got underway on the Italian Amalfi Coast and lasted there until November 20. From there, it proceeded to Naples in early December and finished in Rome by January 2023. Robert Richardson, who previously collaborated with Fuqua on Emancipation (2022), is the project’s director of photography.
