American science fiction action thriller Looper was released in 2012; it was written and directed by Rian Johnson, and it was also co-produced by Ram Bergman and James D. Stern. Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Emily Blunt are its main actors. It centers on “present-day” contract assassins known as “loopers” who are employed by criminal organizations from the future to kill individuals they have transported back in time.
The 2012 Toronto International picture Festival chose Looper as its opening picture, and on September 28, 2012, it was made available in America. The movie was well-received by critics and a financial success, making $176 million worldwide on a $30 million budget.
